High-temperature heat pump

Project
Veolia high temperature heat Pump 2

The role of Veolia Industries Austria in this project

  • Planning
  • Realisation and technical project management
  • Maintenance and servicing of the system during operation
  • Ongoing optimisation

Initial situation

The heat from a cooling water circuit (45 °C) was not utilised.
At the same time, natural gas was burnt to support an internal heating system.

Goal

Utilising the energy of the cooling water for heating purposes by raising the temperature with a heat pump

Solution

Installation of a water/water heat pump
The previously unused energy is extracted from the cooling water and fed into a 90 °C heating system.
