What are your tasks?

  • Manage the actions of the Sites HSE employees to ensure compliance and harmonised approach
  • Manage the efficiency of the site HSE team to meet the expectations of the Site strategy and applicable requirements (Veolia group, legal & compliance, customer)
  • Responsible to maintain the company ISO certified Integrated Management System (ISO 45001:2018 & ISO 14001:2015) by means of continuous improvement
  • Provide support to the Site & Department Managers in customer relationships by:
    • being the main contact for customer HSE site departments (regular meetings, audits, reporting & issues management)
    • supporting the management with deviations & CAPAs regarding HSE topics
  • Coordinate actions related to HSE Audits (by authorities, customers, internal)
  • Fulfilling the operational role on HSE topics: Accompany internal stakeholders in the field in the continuous improvement process: control, advise, raise awareness, accompany, etc. 
  • Fulfilling role as a member of the HSE team in the Alpine Region of the Veolia Group: Leading improvement and innovation projects in line with the roadmap of the Alpine Arc QHSE manager team, participate pro-actively in the Alpine QHSE meetings (share feedback from the scope, make proposals for Alpine projects, etc.

What do you bring with you? 

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Environmental, Safety or Science (Chemistry, Physics, Biology)
  • Experience in the industry (pharmaceutical and/or chemical) is required
  • Training as a safety specialist would be appreciated
  • Good knowledge of HSE regulations applied in pharmaceutical industry would be appreciated
  • Experience with application of 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 standards is required
  • Leadership and management skills like creating a team spirit, being proactive, committed, organised, structured and solution-oriented
  • Capacity of listening and analysing as well as good communication skills
  • Strong ability to adapt to complex environments
  • Fluent in English and German is mandatory, French is appreciated
  • Good computer skills (microsoft & google environment)
